I am severely musically challenged but I have always wanted to learn to play some type of instrument so please answer my question. But don't give me lame answers like "radio" or "kazoo" I want real instruments and honest answers.

Recorder, piano or drums. Recorder's good 'cause it's really easy to play and if you play it right it has a nice sound. Piano's good because it's easy to know where the notes are and you become familiar with all of the notes, both in bass clef and treble clef, when you start to read music. Drums are good because it's simple to read the music, but you need to be good with keeping time, having good rythm, being able to read different rythms and there's quite a bit of technique involved.

Well dude you'll just have to experiment. Trust me I'm deeply into music so I would know. No one can truly answer this for you because what is easy for someone might not be as easy for someone else. For instance, if you've ever heard of the band Cradle of Filth, the vocal style that Dani Filth, the vocalist, uses would be difficult for most to pick up but as of me, I picked it up very quickly and easily in just a few months. Although, I've been playing violin for about 5 years now and I've still more trouble with that thing then my vocals that I've been doing for about 7 months. You just have to find the one that's for you and to do that you've to experiment. Who knows you could become a big time musician if you just find the right one so good luck dude.

tambourine.
okay seriously, i think it's piano. i'm currently learning to play it by myself and i'm actually having fun. it feels very good to be able to play a complete song by just looking at the notes and not the keys.
