I will consider Indira Gandhi as the best Prime Minister of India. She was the most suitable PM with commanding power that I have seen. She was intelligent, courageous and a decision maker, especially in taking quick, wise and sensible action. I can't find any of those qualities among the other Indian Prime Ministers. Maybe the 1975 declaration of Emergency is a black mark in her political career. But her come back in power on 1980 election has over shadowed it and it proved that Indian people has more trust in Indira Gandhi than any other Political leaders. Throughout her political career, she ruled without fear of the opponents whether it was from inside or outside Inida, because she loved in serving the nation sincerely.
Unfortunately she was assassinated and I believe her assassination is one of the greatest lost for the India and since her assassination India hadn't found such an achiever who was having all the qualities as a leader.

I think that the best Prime Minister is who give importance to prime need, who work for people and who here every persons voice. And i think no one has done this so far so we are still searching the best prime minister of India and I think we will get soon........

Smt. Indira Gandhi was the best Prime Minister that India ever had, except for her role during Emergency in 1975-77. She was one of the greatest leaders of the world, even as compared to her contemporary male counterparts in other countries.

To be a good Prime Minister of a country like India, one should be a sincere, intelligent and man of integrity. I find Atal Bihari Vajpai to be the best PM. He has provided the direction to India.

if u ask me who is the best Prime minister of India till now no doubtedly i would answere it in this manner
1.)Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayeeji because he has not only shown India the way for Globalisation but also opened the doors for MNC's to settle in Indian Market.
He has setup laws like POTA to fight against terrorism and inspite of being a BJP person he foollowed strict priciple of non violence and invited Pkistan for mutual talks inspite of India winning Kargil war.
He has installed peace and prosperity in India society

Jawaher lal Nehru was the best prime minister.Isaw him as an able administrator and a patriot.India's five year plans were designed by him.In intial stages he shaped the country to the democracy and cosmopolitianism.
