Almost all first offenders get 2 years. As for Chambers, there must have been some aggravating factors, which caused him to be denied participation.
Perhaps he could have failed his trials, or was not chosen by the US Olympic Committee.
It is up to individual Olympic Committees world-wide to nominate athletes to represent their countries. It is nearly impossible for any athlete to compete at the Olympics, if he/she is not chosen by their respective committees.

In 2001, Gatlin was banned from international competition for two years after testing positive for amphetamines. Gatlin appealed on the grounds that the positive test had been due to medication that he had been taking for a number of years for attention deficit disorder, with which he was diagnosed as a child.
The appeal resulted in an early reinstatement by the IAAF.

Justin tested positive for a drug he had been taking since he was 10 years old for A.D.D. The fact he was taking the drug and his college coach did not explain that fact was the reason for the suspension. He was re-instated after a year.
That's also why this tainted test should be his first offense and this is what USADA is considering. Stay tuned, he will be back.

that's atypical that he got here back from a drug suspension and is swiftly shattering his previous own bests. however the certainty is, if he cheated, he would be caught and he will lose his medal. look at what's occurring to the Bahamas team who's now getting a gold medal by using fact the U. S. team interior the adult men's 4x100 have been disqualified from their medal interior the 2000 video games. on occasion it takes a whilst, yet karma continuously wins.

Justin Gatlin is american and people who are american usually get away with alot of ****, e.g. bush getting away with killing millions but hey he's american and rich so he'll be able to get what he wants.
Justin Gatlin sucks and I'm glad I won't see him run for a long time, the only american sprinter i adore is Wallace Spearman and that's only cz he looks fit!
What's up with Darren Campell's dodgy act out of lap of honour, has he lost it?
