You have an analog sound input? the microphone? A socket on the sound card that takes stereo sound from from an amplifier for a radio or record player? You need to plug the devices in to the inputs to get analog sound into the computer. The computer itself is all digital sound as is any CD or DVD you put in it. Are you having problems hearing the soundtracks of your music or the video? OK? Good luck!

If your TV card has an "Analogue sound" out put, it must be connected to your sound card input terminals, for you to get analogue sound.

Refer to your user manual for this.

Without the above connection, you only get digital sound.

There is a small possibility, that you have turned the volume down ( or it may have always been down ) for your input .

Good luck
