Any supernatural being worshipped as controlling some part of the world or some aspect of life or who is the personification of a force or The supernatural being conceived as the perfect and omnipotent and omniscient originator and ruler of the universe; the object of worship in monotheistic religions...is called God! God is same everywhere!

Personally, I am reluctant to try to define GOD, as opposed to merely describing GOD.

However, if you want a definition, the one that comes to mind is the famous one given by Anselm of Canterbury (1033-1109):

"That than which nothing greater can be thought,"

or put more simply, the greatest conceivable Being.

Here are two different places that I know in the Bible that might give you what you are looking for....

God defined, Exodus 3:13-14
Creator greater than creation, Psalm 108:4-5

You might need to read the verse before and after to get a better understanding..

Depends on who you ask. And whether or not there's a capital G at the front.

if there's a little g then i'd go with my dictionary: "a supernatural being which is worshipped according to particular conventions and is believed to control a particular aspect of nature"

A big G just puts them at the very top of the heap, usually in charge of all the other little gods.

its a hard question to answer...however everytime I ask myself if there is a GOD...I'll start asking why did the Earth have to be the way it is to support humans and all other life forms?...the I ask who created the solar system, and then who put the solar system in space, and where is this space...or where is the universe?...why did there even have to be a universe?....why couldn't it have been a complete void instead?something/ someone / higher being must have created it....what is this being?.....I know I'm asking a lot of questions....but perhaps it could help u answer your question...

Man-made words are simply too limiting to define the Supreme Being...

Try reading the Holy Bible and other sacred scriptures. Perhaps you may get a glimpse of God's Nature.

Peace be with you!

God can be defined as the Almighty Creator of all things.

I am a new member to a 12 step program. The way they describe God (and I agree) is that God can be anything you want him/her/it to be as long as it is a power greater than human power
