My bettas have spawned! Now I am curious how long it takes to hatch. They have been laid 2 days ago and I heard that it takes 36 hours. They haven't hached yet. Are they ok?

the two one in all the different solutions come from people who've not at all spawned Bettas. the female would desire to in hassle-free terms be presented in to the boys tank after she is plump with eggs and her spawning tube is seen. The male will in hassle-free terms settle for a ripe lady if he has signaled his readiness by utilising construction a bubble nest. whilst the pair has spawned the female is pushed away by utilising the male. contained in the confines of an aquarium she could be killed. The male retains the eggs contained in the bubble nest until eventually they hatch. After hatching the male maintains to look after the fry for 2 to 3 weeks, until eventually the fry advance their labyrinth organs.(so as that they might breathe entire air). you unquestionably need greater learn,in all probability a solid Betta e book. there are a number of different issues for you to comprehend to make your attempt helpful i.e.,tank for spawning, nutrition for the fry, nutrition for conditioning the pair, room temperature for turning out to be out the fry, sort of clear out for the spawning tank, and an excellent deal greater. i'm hoping you will not at all be discouraged, because of the fact spawning Bettas would be an quite helpful experience.----solid success,PeeTee.

If the male is tending the nest, he will take care of any that are fungused by eating them. Do not disturb his nest or he is likely to abandon it. He will keep watch and replace any baby that falls out of the nest by catching it in his mouth and spitting it back into the nest. He will stand guard under the nest until they are free swimming and then he should be removed. About a week to ten days.

email me if you have more questions.

You will need some very fine food for the babies once they are free swimming. Google "infusoria" for one type and how to make it. There is also a retail prepared food called "Sera Micron" that is very fine food for young egglayers. I have used it in the past and it works well.
