I recommend the Adoremus Hymnal. It adheres to the directives of the Vatican, maintains the prestige of the Latin language, and the English translations and hymns are reverent and fitting for the Mass

I'm not quite sure what your question is. There are numerous songs during a Catholic Mass. Those can be different even depending which Mass you attend that day. My family attends a Lifeteen Mass on Sunday nights, that have todays current Christian singers/music, along with the more traditional music/songs. This Mass has very different songs and music than the traditional Masses earlier in the day.

Song lyrics during Mass must be based in scripture ( opening and closing song need not be, but they must be supported by scripture)
If you listen closely, many Catholic hymns are directly from scripture.

Do you want original lyrics? My favorite hymnals are Glory and Praise and Spirit and Song.
Try getting inspiration from Scripture.
