Sergio ranks 164th in putting and 130th in total driving so let's not jump to conclusion about him ever being #1.
He seems to be able to turn it on and get hot from time to time, makes a lot of birdies, recovers well from trouble and does well overall. It however is his charisma that makes him a star. He a long, long way from number 1 and a few more hours on the putting green won't get him there.

Maybe his putting will be better if he spends time with Vijay Singh for a week. I mean after all you see is Vijay practicing on his game day in, and day out.

You've got to be joking. The man spend hours upon hours practicing his putting and his game...as well as professional help. Its not as easy as it looks.
