Stick to your beliefs, girl. Don't worry about what others think or say. Be comfortable with yourself. Show them with your behavior that they might have the wrong impression.

I'm a convert and became interested in the church because all the lies I heard just didn't seem to apply to the wonderful Mormon neighbors that I had. I've found that many of the people who seem obsessed with spouting hate are really scared to think beyond their small confused beliefs. They would rather read hate sites and lies than try to consider the truth.
I do get sick of it at times and I also wonder why it's acceptable to bash some groups, like Mormons, but is so politically incorrect to target other religious groups. Mormons don't stand outside other churches and insult the members. I've attended a number of different churches and every group has ceremonies or practices that can seem odd to someone who doesn't understand the background. Don't let the idiots get you down. Maybe they're just jealous.

You know, I was Mormon when I was younger. I am not a member anymore, and this is because I grew to disagree with some of the Church's views. However, I still, after 20 years of not being an active LDS, think that many Mormons are some of the kindest and most gracious people around. Not so much the higher "ranking" Mormons, but the families in your ward were always really good people. They really need to address some racial and gender issues, though!

I am not a Mormon. While I dont agree with your religion, I dont say you are crazy.
There is enough evidence that your first 2 prophets said a lot of interesting things. Things which your church denies today.
Your church put a challenge out a number of years ago (Take this challenge). It is a challenge to prove that the Book of Mormon is of God. We answered the challenge with the Ossian Chronicles by James MacPherson. If you don't know the story of these, you will find some interesting parallels.

Maybe the people of all religions should unite who feel the same like you. Accept that there one God with many names; one religion with many names; glorify Him with their own prayers and thus in harmony with everybody aim for the real goal of religion - developing love of God.
