No, no, no. Get her some awesome chocolates or other sweets. We live in Japan and one thing I can say is that the Asians have no clue when it comes to making terrific sweets.

Something that is English through and through! - and a little expensive? Trust me having lived in Japan for a few years and traveled round the orient these kind of presents work well.
So for tea try Fortnum & Mason, a polo shirt Arthur Dunhill or a head scarf Catherine Hammet. You get the picture? Brands go down very well over there not just in clothes but other commodities such as tea or cigars!
Good luck

Get something from the UK that is recognised internationally.
Make sure it's very English / Welsh / Scottish / Irish.
Make sure it's well-known and fashionable.
Burburys, Waterford, etc.
Girls out here like brands, but most things can be got here (HK), and are often cheaper. So don't buy anything not made in UK.
That's talking generally, if she's sweet and loving she'll love anything similar, that you got from the a village market. Just make sure it's well crafted.

What a rude way to get help. You did not let anyone know who the woman is. You also give too little info about her so the responses will be limited. If she wears scents- nice perfume or bath product. If she likes English music- three top cd's. If she likes flowers- a bunch of her favorites. If she likes clothing- a beuatiful silk scarf in white, black or grays.

Don't buy perfume it's to personal. In the duty free i often find limited edition things for women ie:brand name travel kits. What about pink champagne. Jewellery's good too but don't go over the top, bracelet or simple earrings hope this helps

How about a presentation pack, with original English currency.
With the English coins, plus the £5 note etc. Collectors items!
We had a girl from Korea who visited, who brought this type of item for us, as a unique present from her country.
So it will be original from you (England), and is an interesting item to keep, also unique, that will remind her of you.

I don't know - but the best presents are the personal ones.
I'm not suggesting you do this - but the gift that touched me the most once was a bag of Malteasers (cost @39p) - this was because I once happened to mention, ages before, that I liked them.
What does she like? Show her that you've been paying attention, and make it personal. You can't go wrong.
Good luck xxx

Something arty and crafty. Try to find and unsual gift shop, and go for something exquisite like an embroidered bag that's obviously been a lot of hard work for someone because of the detail.
Well, I'd like that anyway!
