It really depends on the pasta.

But get a big pot, fill it with water. Put a little bit of salt and a little bit of oil in the water (if you don't have these, it's not the end of the world but it helps the taste and it keeps it from sticking together).

Bring the water to a full boil then add the pasta. Now remember the pasta will double in size so don't put a monstrous amount in the pot. The package of the pasta will tell you how long to boil for (usually it's somewhere between 8-10 minutes).

If you're boiling spaghtetti, for instance a good test to see if it's done is to throw a piece against the wall. If it sticks, it's done. If it doesn't it still needs a minute or so.

Then strain the pasta. Put a little salt on it, maybe some melted butter or oil (about a tablespoon) and then put some sauce on it (warmed up or otherwise).

You might want to prepare the sauce first. Or just have the pasta plain.

Some really good herbs to put on pasta with butter or oil: basil, oregano, seasoning salt, garlic, parsley.

Pasta is very easy to cook....

Just boil a large pan of water (allow plenty of room for the pasta, or you might run the risk of it all sticking together). Normally you would lightly salt the water, but you don't have to. If you don't the pasta will taste a lot blander.

Add pasta to boiling water, and boil. Somewhere on the pack of pasta it should say the cooking time, which will vary from type to type, but for spaghetti, it would be around 10 mins.

Once it is ready, drain, and either add sauce, or a tiny bit of oil or butter, just to stop it sticking together.

get some hard pasta from the store, bag or box, spaghetti sauce, and get a pot and put enough water in it so the noodles will be covered, then boil that very same water with 3-4 pinches of salt in it. When its boiling add the pasta, anywhere from 7-12 minutes should be the time, take a noodle out with a fork taste to be sure, then get a colander and drain the pasta, in the same pot, put either some spaghetti sauce, or olive oil or butter, then when its hot or melting add back in the pasta, then you put a whole bunch of parm. cheese on it, enjoy

put hot water in a pot and add a little salt. heat the water until its boiling and add a tad of butter or margerine to keep pasta from sticking to itself.add the pasta. after 10-15 minutes it should be done. pour into a strainer and rise the pasta. add your favorite sauces, spices or cheese and your good-to-go.

get a big pot, boil water and put the pasta in it and then when it seems to rise and the water is bubbling then pour it out on to a basket bowl or something where the water can leak through. and i think thats the basic way to do it.
