hell im 22 and refuse to give out my picture much less turn on my webcam. i want someone to like me for me, and not my charming good looks ^_~.

No way young lady. Never turn your web cam on for anybody.
If a family member wants to see you, and you want to see them, it should be OK to 'cam' each other for a conference, but not for strangers you've never even heard of!!
Stay safe, leave the cam OFF!

I like the cam idea because you can actualy see if the person on the other end is actually who/what they say they are. They don't necessarily have to be naked.

You are 16 you do not need to be on your cam with anyone...But it's obvious you have been...But please do me a favor and do not do anything over your cam like cyber sex or anything...There are too many weirdo's out there just looking for a fresh young innocent person with whom to make porn films....You do not want this to happen so please do not get on it with anyone...For your own safety

it might seem harmless and its flattering when they want to se eyou so bad and compliment you and persuade you to do things on cam but know this. They can easily record what you do on cam and will. They can even blackmail you with it. So don't. Trust me. It's not worth it

You have to learn that it you that must do right. And not depend on other outside of your family to tell you what is correct for you. What they ask of you is for their pleasure not yours and at 16 I am wondering why are you listening to them...........

have you not seen all the news about that internet guy who got pictures and films of girls and then circulated it to others on the internet - i wouldn't if i were you. a lot of guys want to see you for their own gratification (if you know what i mean) and i don't think you want to be used just for that do you? i wouldn't trust anyone who you don't truly know to have pictures or films of you - you never know what you might get yourself into
