Look down the page here at mormonism. They are truly twisted in their beliefs. It is amazing how many fall in to this cult. If they would read this, they'd know it is time to get out!

Joseph Smith did not "die like a coward, shooting a gun". He was killed while under arrest (again) and locked inside a jail cell along with his brother and two visiting friends. None of them were armed, unlike the mob that attacked them. He spent most of his life after becoming a Mormon turning the other cheek, although he only turned it once for any given jackass.
As for your second question; I'm not sure. Read the Bible. Mormons stopped practicing Polygamy when Utah became a state and federal US laws forbidding it went into effect, and today true Mormons only have one spouse.

you comprehend, psychologically there are sound causes for "turning the different cheek" . Jesus, become stated to have stated many "smart" issues, and most of the affirming of Jesus, his followers already knew , from the readings and massive discussions between the smart adult men that dwelt upon scripture readings. If one lets someone's' offense "go" and does no longer retaliate, it lessens the outcome of the crime or damage filled incident. It supplies the attacker time to think about what they did, and evidently, repent and make amends. The attacker's verbal or actual action is what is going to be witnessed, and others will choose them , no longer you. Its a merciful thanks to take care of a own attack. Others can obviously see who become damage, and how, and your case previously a choose interior reason simplistic, "they are the undesirable guy, you're the sufferer". And townsfolk will choose too. So he's in basic terms attempting to reiterate how smart it is, to "turn the cheek" and under no circumstances "sin" with the aid of having revenge and hence complicating issues even worse. As on your question, why do a touch Christians own guns, its an same reason some Christians lie to, gossip, tell fake memories about inspite of, to electrify, ignore their offspring to make adults imagine they are impressive upstanding human beings, use God to get a artwork promotion or a pastime, or the Presidency , you comprehend, its no longer what you comprehend , yet WHO you comprehend ; ) in spite of the undeniable fact that, it must be actual unfair to say in hardship-free words Christians do this stuff, Mormons are worse...

Joseph Smith was no coward, and he was not armed when he was murdered. Neither was his brother (who was jailed with him) or the two church men who had come by to visit them. They were shot by cowards like you who are filled with hatred and spread misinformation.
Nothing in the Bible says anything about how many wives we should have, that is a cultural thing not a religious thing. Many cultures encourage multiple spouses.

What's with the hate? Did some decent Mormon girl reject you because you're a scumbag? If you're going to question something at least get your facts straight.
Many of the revered figures of the Christian Old Testament (Abraham etc.) had more than one wife or had wives and concubines. It isn't an official Mormon practice anymore, just as it isn't practiced among mainstream Christians. But there do seem to be a lot of "holy" people of all denominations who cheat on their spouses. Hypocritical isn't it?

I don't think Joseph Smith was a coward, last time i checked your name wasn't in the bible. and if you haven't noticed sometimes it's hard to turn the other cheek and completely forget isn't it? I'm not even going to comment on you arrogant Jesus question.

The more interesting question is, IMO, why he died calling out a Masonic recognition signal in the hope that fellow masons in the crowd would let him go.
Wasn't he in jail for smashing up the presses of the local paper which was printing exposes of his poligamy?
And I reckon Jesus and the Father are both in favour of one man one wife. Interestingly, so was Joseph Smith at first, says so in the Book of Mormon. Wasn't until he saw some young girls he fancied that he introduced poligamy.

Every LDSer that I have talked to has stated that J. Smith did not died as a martyr...
How does one die as a martyr when they 1) are carrying a loaded weapon that was smuggled in to them, and 2) fire into the crowd before anyone makes a threatening move toward him.
It also makes me wonder why he was the only one with a loaded pistol. Did he not care that the others who were with him would be unarmed?
