we can see a thing by applying light on it .. then the reflected light will return to our eyes ..
but .. GOD created the light itself .. then how can any-one see GOD .. then GOD must be invisible ..

If my God were visible I would not worship Him. The reason: anything that is permanently manifest is calculable and has limitations. Since I cannot see sources of limited power: heat, propulsion, electricity, then the maker of those forces, who has limitless power has to be invisible. Those forces have witnesses to the manifestation of their powers and so does my God. None of those forces can speak, heal anyone, left us moral codes or guides to the spiritual world--my God does all those things and more. If i did not love trees, I would fill all the papers of the world with examples.

This question is hard to answer because religion is such a personal thing. You and I could read the same scripture in the same bible and interpret it the exact opposite of the other. There is the letter of the law and the spirit of the law. So I can see where you would believe God is invisible. The bible says we are created in god's image so does this mean everyone we look at, everyone we can SEE is in resemblances of God? I believe it does, it tells us that we are all equal be we white black or pink with purple polka dots.

The Bible clearly teaches that God is a Spirit and that spirits are invisible. At times spirits: God, angels, demons etc take on vissible appearance and can be seen but that is not their normal state.
Timothy 1:17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen

If God wants to he can let us see Him but we would surely die. He even says so.

We cannot look directly into the sun for long periods of time for we may go blind. Imagine looking at the One that Created the sun. If we think the sun's rays are intense how much more then will be the glory that God radiates?

there are advantages and disadvantages in your statement about God being visible.
Advantage: People will all be united under one religion as they can truly see their Creator.
Disadvantage: God is all Seeing. He sees every single thing that each one of us does. Can you imagine the fear we all live in knowing that a Visible being is watching us constantly , whatever you do , be it good or bad. It would make you fear HIM more knowing HE is looking at you directly and showing his disapproval over the actions you had taken. Living in constant fear of HIS disapproval. Knowing HE could strike you with all his Wrath on the sins you had done...

God is everything that exists and everything that doesnt exist. The future lives in that which does not exist. This is why God knows everything. God is invisible and visible. He isnt separate from you or I, he is creation itself.

I make no claims regarding existence of "God", but with your logic:

"God" could be anywhere, just that our visions are blocked by light and therefore not be able to see "God".

However, it is possible for "God" to be generating light at one place, but not another. Lights bounces off "God" where he is not generating light and we would be able to see him.

To put it in a more descriptive way. Part of "God" could be in a dark room with the light outside of the room shinning on him and we would be able to see light reflecting off of him.

Therefore not invisible?

(I just love talking logic with Christians.)

yes, god is invisible, since he has no form. its impossible to see god, aka the passage "man shall not see me and live" which to me implies not that god kills whoever sees him (which is just silly because god is unseeable and besides god can easily prevent being seen) but that only the dead can see god, because when they were alive they were restricted by their physical bodies and now they are no longer

If God were to show himself, and he could at anytime, then why would we need to believe in him.....we wouldn't have to show faith, but he is visible, everytime you see something alive , you see God, he's the giver of life...Sooo just look around you, where you are God is there also...
And God has shown himself in the flesh, in his Son Jesus Christ we saw God....He's not invisible to the believer.

seeing is a function of the eyes. To connect or experience god you need to awaken some dormant senses within you.
