The real argument whether man has a free will or not has been ongoing for centuries. Arminians believe in the free will of man, Calvinists do not. The Bible no where (in my understanding, and I have studied the Bible all my life) ever says that man has a free will. The Bible does teach that man has a depraved will. Actually even God does not have a totally free will, since He cannot do anything contrary to His nature. God cannot sin, God cannot lie, God cannot deny Himself, God cannot change, all things clearly taught in the Bible. Most people who teach free will teach from human reason not the Bible. You hear them say things like, 'God doesn't want a bunch of robots to worship Him..." Not really a Biblical principle.
The answer to your question is that God did not give man a free will because He knows our thoughts even before we think them.

He knows because he is creating us through our own free will. In this sense, we have control over creating God. God knows what we will do, but we have the choices to make. God knows, but he just observes, he doesnt control.

I'm an atheist, but my theory of this paradox is that "God" exists in a place outside of time and thus knows every decision that you will ever make in your life without affecting free will.

dear, its a waste of energy to think about these things , because a human mind is not designed to understand these strage delamas ! !... just feel free to do what u want and dont think what God is doing , since it will not harm ur freedom in anyway ! have a nice free life :)

Why do you think God is some kind of a supercomputer created by US Government listening and recording every conversation. Is he looking for some hidden terrorists?

just because he knows our thoughts before we think them doesnt mean we arent free to choose our thoughts. he knows but does not direct. you can see this in exodus... god clearly says that he knows what pharaoh will do... but he ALLOWS him to do so anyway so that he can show pharaoh the truth of the hebrew god. he could have intervened in pharaohs free will but chose not to.
