People do it for hygenic and aesthetic reasons. It is somewhat cleaner and safer, and some women prefer the look of a circumcized penis to that of an uncircumcized penis.
That's right, it's not just for religious folk.
P.S. There are those who would call it mutilation and don't approve of it at all for any reason. I'm not saying I agree or disagree, I'm just saying... some people think of it in that way.

Circumcision was started when Prophet was ordered to do so by Allah. Adhering to this is a sunnat. It is only recently after centuries that medical science has found the beneficial effects of circumcision which are more than just being hygienic.

Yes its not a religious choice but a health choice, my father in law had to be circumziced because of problems, my mom in law told me that He said its much harder on you when you are older.

theirs a lot of evidence to show that circumcision is medical beneficial but then again that is irrelevant to those that do it for religious reasons
