they turn ME away anyway. if i ever convert away from judaism i certainly wont go to christianity or islam because i find their pushiness and disrespect of other religions distasteful

There are many people that do exactly that. This is called being "Zealous" or full of "Zeal", simply it means that they are very ambitious about their new belief. On the other hand though, being that we should be courteous to everyone, you can't blame them. They feel that they have received a Great Answer to a very difficult question!! They feel very blessed and want everyone to feel that way too. Being a "Thinker", I feel happy for them. This world is difficult at best and down right mean at it's worst, so having a great load taken off their shoulders is a fantastic thing and they want to share with everyone. I think we need to "cut everyone" a little slack now and then, maybe even think about the "Core" of what their saying, rather than driving them off.

They don't care. It's a wonderful value instilled in them from the time they can verbalize. It is their responsibility to "impose" their beliefs on others. Their way is the only way. If people don't convert, well, they will just go to hell. In my experience, I have learned that most religions have this "value".
