Well.. I do respect my parents a lot! You should too! and appreciate them.

Its not tht we dont respect our parents, its jus tht they dont sometimes show that they deserve respect. I squirm everytime some parent says " I deserve respect cos I brought you to this world" Yeah thts true, yet did I choose 2come into this world or did THEY choose to have kids? I dont know about other ppl, bt my dad's like a wall and my mom's narrow-minded...In short, one doesnt talk 2us children, the other shouts at you if you dont follow things her way (nvr listens to reason)....Yet I love them, even if they hurt me in the process...Sad huh?

I'm 43 years old and I'm leaving for home to take care of my ailing parents who are in their late eighties. I leave behind temporarily my wonderful wife and two kids who are so dear to me because I know they can take care of themselves and my old parents need me more right now. Why am I doing this? Because I love my parents and I respect them.

We should always respect them, cause they brought us to this world. Same as in the military, we don't respect what they do, but also must just respect their ranks!

The older I get, the more I respect them. When I was little, I took them for granted. Once I got out in the real world and had to make it on my own, I understood what all they did for me :)

just think the offers, opportunities, sacrifices, and efforts your parents has done for your sake and you must then respect them. without them, you feel lonely and insecure.
careful buddy, you yell at them and don't respect them, dude! you children will be like this with you...

i do respect them and i trust that their opinions are given to me in my best interest! However, there are times when we seems to live in different era and they have different life experiences from us which may not be suitable with the times!
