... I'm 17 years old... i have a lot of problems...
I'm conflicted, i hate myself but i do not want to change.
I miss happiness, i miss myself the way i was before high school. I wish i can return to the innocent kid that i was. I wish i never got into psychology or philosophy. I discovered diamonds are bad but i want them. I feel not alive....
I recall previous memories from the past whenever i interact with something that relates to something that happened in the past. My mind cannot stop thinking. I think about sex whenever i see disgusting gross things and i don't want to think about it but i do. My mind gets paranoid sometimes and i get nervous and fearful around night time. Freud has also disturbed me quiet a lot. I also believe in nihilism, i don't want to believe in it but i do. I wish i can love life again. I have friends and a girlfriend and my family is very well. But i can't love life.... i also see myself as a cold hearted peson. I cant sleep anymore...

17 is a very rough age. I think you are trying to come to some decisions that are hard for you. I didn't love life at 17 either. Things do get better, though I know that isn't much help now. Talking to a professional could help, but that would involve going to your parents.
If you could sleep I am sure you would feel better about everything. Sleep deprivation is the worst. That alone will drive you crazy. See if you can talk to a doctor about this.
Good luck.

You have one very important thing going for yourself and that is your age. At 17 your entire life is basically still ahead of you and there is plenty of time for change. Things will not change because you merely want them to. YOU must make all changes in your life with the help of family and friends. Take a good hard look at yourself and then determine what you want to change. Write it down so you can refer to it whenever required. Take one change step at a time. Do not overdo it because it will overwhelm you. You must determine why you become fearful at nightime. Is it the darkness? Are you alone? Do you fear imaginary demons or such? If your friends are relatively normal people find one who you can really trust and confide in her (a her rather than a him or at times a him will work OK). If the friend is sensitive and compassionate then you can use your friend to help you over this hurdle. You must trust your friend and make sure that she does not tell everyone about your problems. Sleep is extremely important because without the proper amount of sleep your problems will grow. In fact, the improper amount of sleep can cause many of the problems you are experiencing. Ask your doctor for a sleeping pill....Ambien CR 10 mg is very good. I know for I take one every night but it really puts you out.
Don't panic and if you feel that you cannot pull this off on your own seek professional help. Don't let it go much further.

answer to your question, my friend focus your mind into one thing such as your studies or goals in life something that would make your life better when you feel horny because you wanted sex just go in a cold shower and break the feelings of fearness. sometimes there are things that challenging our humanhood thats a part of our life but you must have the said ACCEPTANCE. yes acceptance that in this world in every minute their are a lot of chalenges and changes of life and you must be ready for it. one thing more devote yourself to GOD attend some mass what ever religion you have coz sometimes surrendering our faith to GOD is a big help. join in a youth organization thats makes yourself busy. in this im sure you can move on just a matter of acceptance and understanding.
till then and i just hope i give you some idea on how you love yourself. Goodluck and have a good time.
sincerly yours,
ginger :)

wow you really seem to be mixed up. I don't think any answer in here is going to help you. You should seek professional help if you or your parents can afford it. Maybe if you took some time and went some were only you know about and do some soul searching you could better understand yourself. I am going to ask my boyfriend to look at this question because he is really good at this kind of problem so please don't close it for answers. He has helped me to better understand my feelings and have become a better person because of it.

You need to be focused and know your ultimal goal in study and life. Teens living in poverty at your age is a real problems to them. Find out what is meaningful in life and what you see is interesting and go for it. Of course it has to be lawful and not self-destructing project. Set a right mindset is most important. Ask yourself what is the kind of life you want to lead in future? Lots of teenagers hate doing the right things as viewed by public.

Believe me i know what your talking about. In reading your statement I seen flashbacks of my younger years. Your not alone by any means. 99% of american youth gets lost in thier ways at one point or another. I was very angry and hateful for most of my life. I imbraced it and was only happy when in misery. I had no intentions of changing any part of my life. Unfortunately Ignorence is bliss, and with age comes knowledge. We cannot unlearn what we have learned.
The answer to your problems all come down to this.... ONE THING. There is one thing in your life that will make everything make sence. Unfortunately no one can tell you what that is. you have to find it for yourself. Mine came down to a battle of wills. My one thing is that i will not let anything beat me. I don't do drugs because I won't let an inanimate object beat me. When i fear something, i won't let it beat me so i face it. And i have found that the antisipation of something is far greater than the actual event.
Now religion........ I'm a ferm believer in religion, but i do not believe in God. Well not in the sence that everyone else does. Sometimes our lives get to much for us and it's a great feeling to go to church and be able to let go of everything. Have people just except you for who or what you are. I'm not trying to say the Bible is true or not, but have you read it? Even if it isn't true, how can you make a decision like that without reading it. It's very insperational if nothing else.
In your ability to sleep. I hate taking pills for every problem i have. Thats just something about me. But you might try some relaxation before going to sleep. Maybe meditation will work for you. It might stop your mind from racing. I for one have imbraced my mind racing all the time, but it makes me seem flighty sometimes :)
I had to have something bad happen in my life before i began to change and understand myself. I went to prison for a couple of years and had alot of time to sit and ponder the universe. In that time I learned to start looking on the bright side of things. Life seems alittle better after you've been locked up in a cell for 3 months with no one to talk to. But thats what worked for me. Lets hope you don't have to go through something like that before you find yourself. You have taken the first step, you are aware of your shortcomings. IN that you are alot further than i was at your age. Good luck in your searching, and remember..... YOUR NOT ALONE.

I honestly think this is just temporary. Plus i wouldnt be surprised if high school did this to you. high school sucks. all the pressure makes you go nuts. only the rich popular kids actually have fun. Why dont you just find something you love to do or just something you love and be around it. there has to be something. Try to think logically. If youre scared at night sleep with a night light and dont look at gross perverted images if you dont want to have to think about them later(if you can help it). eliminate all that causes you to react in a way yo do not want. you gotta help yourself fight it. go out and have some fun!
good luck
