When I was 20 I could get really drunk, and be fine the next day. 11 years later I find that it takes me 2/3 days to recover fully.
Is there a medical explanation for this, or is it simply because I hardly ever drink now, but when I was a student I stuck them away?

As you get older is takes longer for your body to do things. Like your liver will take longer to clean out the drink from you . It's abit like years ago I could go clubbing and spend all night out, now 10 years later I could not do it, Pass 11 is to much lol

As we age, it takes longer to recover from anything. Also, as a presumably busy adult, you are likely to be somewhat dehydrated and sleep-deprived even before you start drinking.

Our body resistance rate slow down as we aged. Same thing when you're sick, it takes longer to recover as you grow older. Our immune system will probally takes more time to fight back.
