why the heads of Islam religion do not issue fatwa against Islamic terrorists?

they issued fatwa against salman rushdi.against one couple in india. in this case the husband in a drunken state said talak three times and in the next morning he repented and told the religiour heads that he really did not mean it. but the imams, heads of islam issued a fatwa that that couple be separated against the wishes of that couple. in another instance, father in law raped his daughter in law and the local heads of islam issued a fatwa that the daughter in law be separated from her husband and treat her father in law as her husband. my question is why the heads of islamic religion do not issue fatwas,directives, against all the terrorists,belonging to their religion to shun the path of violence and not to cause death of innocent civilians by doing 9/11, mumbai blasts and recently foiled attempt by british muslims of pakistan origin.

The vast majority of Muslim clerics DO condemn violence perpetrated by terrorists. The examples you give are from radical Islamic leaders who are not true Muslims. A few nuts who get all the publicity do not speak for a whole religion. Don't worry about them as they too will have to answer to Allah on the day of Judgment. Each one of us can only be responsible for ourselves only...you will not have to answer for their actions...only your own.

My question is... who exactly are these Islamic heads and why do we have to follow them? Furthermore, just because you have some knowledge of Islam, does it mean that you can go around and proclaim fatwas according to what you think is right?

All the fatwa's mentioned above sound wrong to me. Just directly consult the Quran or Sahih Sunnah, and then there will be no need for pointless fatwas to be given.

Forget fatwas, Islam itself advocates anti-terrorism, and if terrorists can not understand that... then they shouldn't even be considered as Muslims.

Just a little fact that, proper scholars of Islam like Zakir Naik do certainly speak against terrorism.

The certainly have issued fatwas against terrorists, suicide bombings and violence. The thing is they don't have it blasted all over the western media.

it sounds like some of the "imams" you're quoting are not really following Islam but some cultural tribal laws wearing Muslim garb. i would not give their opinions much weight at all.

In the first place you need to understand Islam is a religion of peace and tranquility and it does not permit of senseless killings. In Islam killing of a single human tantamounts to killing of humanity. This itself shows how great a respect Islam accords to humans and human rights. Rushdi was condemned for his satanic verses for openly showed the direspect he had for Islam and the Ulema were right in condemning him to death for if any person shows disrespect for Prophet Muhammad [PBUH] or speaks against the Quran his punishment is death. In case of the drunken husband the fatwa issued is correct for in Islam drinking is prohibited for this similar reason of losing senses and as for talak when this word is said thrice it means end of the marriage contract in whatever state of mind a person is for this the injuction of Quran which is Word of Allah. In the case of a rapist father-in-law again the fatwa issued is correct for this the punishment that person receives after raping and losing his actual wife who ceases to be a wife after the rape.
Your assumption that the violence of 9/11, mumbai blasts and recently foiled attempts of british muslims of pakistan origin seem to based on the biased media reports of world powers. 9/11 was a jewish plot as no jew was killed in 9/11although the Twin Towers was occopied by jews as their offices. Mumbai blast have been attributed to muslims because the Indian Govt was to keep their bellicosity againts muslims to cow down the muslims of India. Britain police have seemly attributed the plot to muslims to downgrade the pakistanis living there. This is the very same police who killed a mexican electrician in cold blood thinking him to be muslim terrorist. Our religion Islam does not permit terrorism and therefore ther is no need to issue a fatwa.

ask any Muslim he will tell you that most of Muslim scholars criticize terror very much
