sit and flip thru all the channels on TV. Eventually you will be tired. Will your problems be solved? No, but after you get some sleep you will be able to think clearly and hopefully find some of the answers to your problems. Good luck.

well i learnt this in drama class:
lie straight on ur back, close ur eyes.
Now everytime you breathe in, pretend ur breathing through ur feet.
I know it doesnt sounds rite, but it works. You get a tingly feeling while you move up with ur thoughts, until you then breathe out with ur mouth. I suggest you breathe in through ur nose, not ur mouth - it makes the tingly feeling stronger. Like this, your thoughts and everything are focusing on one thing, so you cant concentrate on any problems in your life, and you start relaxing. In the end (for me it worked) you fall asleep.
another thing to do is just READ. read on and on, it sets ur thoughts on the book, and your eyes get tired, and more tired, and more tired, until they just close. You will be in a half sleep and then try to, without moving too much, put the light out and put the book away. You r so tired that you just sleep... zzz...
anyways good luck!

Write them down on paper. Then try to sleep again.
This works for me when I have too many things going on at once in my life. I want to remember this and that or am feeling nagged about something that happened. Just writing it down seems to free my mind so I can fall asleep.

Lie flat on your back, pillow under your knees. Think about your face - are the muscles tense? yes, then relax those facial muscles - what a difference that makes.
Don't even think about things you cannot change - eg. nuclear bombs wiping out the human race, terrorists killing my loved ones or me. Try to clear your mind of all thoughts (takes about 3 goes to get to sleep).
Good luck.

lay back then relax, make sure the whole body is relax, close eyes, then imagine black, paint your mental picture into black and then after that paint it blue... i wonder if you still have to paint after that... you must be asleep... unless you clouded your mind with the worry... start all over again...
