Rice gives you alot of proteins. In many countries, it's like eating with the main course like people eating potatoes or bread.
Rice, Bread, and potatoes also brng carbs which addes alot of calories. Most South Beach diets claims that if you eat less of those three, you'll lose weight. But for people who need energy and proteins, those three will be good.
Rice has proven to give good nutrients to your body and is good for your heart and mind too.

White rice has no nutritional value. If you want something healthy eat whole grain brown rice. It's not as tasty as white rice , but your colon will love you.
