A collegue at work asked what I would really like for a birthday present. She asked me because I am the same age as her B/F. He has everything that he wants and has a lot of stuff already, but she is asking seriously about what a guy my age (29) would really like. (I thought of something like a photo montage or even a gallery portrait session)

I try and make a mental note if my b/f mentions something that he would like, for example if we are watching TV and an advert comes on and he says he would like whatever they are advertising, then I try and remember that. Usually I buy him clothes and useful things like that, but other gifts I have given him are theatre tickets, dinner in his favourite restaurant, travel tickets for a weekend away in Amsterdam, playstation games, cd's etc.

well, some of the things ive gotten my fiance for his birthdays are: gift cards to go shopping, a weekend get away to a nice hot springs resort (that was alot of fun and he loved it!), i also took him to his favorite bands concert one year... that was fun too... i think the one thing out of everything ive gotten him for his birthday is a lighter i got him last year. I spent about $100 on the lighter, and then on the back had it engraved saying "ever last love" and then my name... he takes that thing everywhere with him.

hope this helps alittle bit.

You have to look at what the person doesn't have and the budget. I give concert tickets or a weekend getaway or tickets to see their favorite sports team.
