I bring my pit bull to the gym with me. He can now bench press 30 pounds more.

If by stronger you mean healthier and in good shape, the best thing to do is play with him and take him out on walks, that is the best exercise. If you are careful and socialize him well, you will both greatly benefit from the walks, and they will give you an opportunity to bond. You may want to walk him using a "halti" (not a gentle leader, there is a difference) so that he will not pull as much. That way you can maintain better control of him. Putting chains around his neck will NOT make him stronger, dogs that are chained up become aggressive, and if you use too heavy of a chain you could do damage to his neck and spine. That is just an old wives tale. But if you want him to just look a little tougher, a studded (not spiked!) collar would be cute. And just because he is a pitbull does not make him an "accident waiting to happen." His personality will depend on the time you spend with him and the amount of positive consistent training you give him. Good luck with your pooch!

Sorry, not gonna happen. Not unless her genetics are up for it. Or you pump her full of supplements and steroids. If her mother and her father were strong and muscular, there's a good chance your pup will be too. But if the owners of her parents uses supplements and whatever, don't go by the musculature of their augmented dogs. She's only four months old, a puppy. Let her body finish growing before you do stupid things to it. Or you'll end up with an adult dog with early-onset arthritis... 2 years is when a dog is fully mature. Also: those beefy blocky-headed dogs are NOT PIT BULLS (notice, its two words). They are mutts called American Bullies. A REAL American Pit Bull Terrier is a very lean and athletic dog. Built more like a runner than a body builder.

Contrary to popular belief, pitbulls do NOT have locking jaws. Their jaws have been scientifically proven to be without ANY kind of locking mechanism.
The reason pitbulls do not let go is their tenacity, drive, and determination. Nothing more. Pitbulls were bred to fight in pits, hence the name "pit bull." They were NOT bred to be human aggressive; people MAKE them that way. Do some research before passing judgment on a frequently misunderstood breed.

i feed mine eukanuba, take him on 2 or 3 mile walks every other day, and my husband puts a thick chain around his neck and hooks him up to some tires and he has him pull those around...........and people....just because he wants to make his dog stronger doesnt necessarily mean hes gonna fight him..damn open ur minds a little bit. any dog has the power to rip ur arm off but since pit bulls are such wonderful creatures and all they want is love they choose not to if raised with love..

I hope you are not trying to make it a fighter. Thats a NO NO!! Just take it out for walks, and jogs or runs. Play with it in the yard.

a chain collar for his neck but not too tight! OR, you could get him a spike collar to give him a tougher look.
