Why am I not a butterfly without a care and a beautiful set of wings?

Some butterflys live only for a day. Beauty is all about making friends and having sex - I think.
Please, please, no more god answers - God really sucks and is passe

When I was young I used to pull off the wings of burrerflys I caught. Sometimes I would focus my magnifying glass and burn them. I've never forgotten the smell.

First I think why do you think a butterfly does not have a care? It spends its whole time trying to get enough food and avoid being eaten. I don't expect you have those problems lol

Either you are spaced out on the current hallucinogen of fashion, or your question is semi-legit. Can't tell which. If the first, then my answer won't matter. If the second, possibly because of Kharma? Because perhaps you were fortunate to be born of human dna rather than that of an insect?
If you were a butterfly without a care and a beautiful set of wings, do you think you would enjoy it? You wouldn't know the difference, and you wouldn't likely even realize what beauty truly is.
How fortunate for you that you can imagine, and day-dream, and know the beauty of a butterfly's wing, and everything that it flies thru.
Your world is what you make of it. If it isn't working for you, make it different. If that means you have too many cares, simplify things. It's easier than it sounds. Too much stuff? Get rid of some of it. Too many men around? Dump them. Too much on your plate? Take a break. Everyone needs a mental health day.
And if your life is truly bleak and you have nothing more to wake up for, then volunteer your useless time to make someone else's life complete. You'll be surprised how much value your life and you yourself will gain.
It's all about perpective. Admire the butterfly. Be who you are. Inside you is the beauty of a million butterflies... find it and share it, or share it and find it. In either order, it will happen. Make the decision that a butterfly never could, and become part of something bigger than yourself. And when you look in the mirror, know that even if you can't see the colors shimmering behind your own eyes, there is always someone who can.

an extremely short life span,,,,,assuming you get past the predators, insecticides and people that want to catch you just to stick a pin through your body and put you on display....
If all you want is to be without a care....alcohol/magic mushrooms
/peyote buds...etc etc etc
or just be a "kept" person by someone with BIG $$$$$$$$
the set of wings???? Frequent flyer miles? Learn to be a pilot?
sky dive?...or LSD and "fly" solo
Or just sing in the shower and let your spirit soar like a butterfly

maybe, just maybe, in an alternate/parallel universe you are.
{of course, by "you" I mean the plural "you"... "Y'all".}
(Besides, if a butterfly doesn't have to struggle to get out of it's cocoon, its wings will be weak and deformed; and it will soon die.)

for the same reason im not... our parents we're both human... so when they mated, they had a human baby. Too bad our parents werent butterflies... :o)
