Take a plastic bag and fill it with 1/4 gallon of water (about 1 liter). Secure the plastic bag and drop it into the cistern of your toilet flush. You will consume less water with each flush.

Start with your dwelling - - - if it is a Stand Alone home then installl a cistern system. Save that rainwater - - - use it to water the yard. Next the bathroom - - - there are 'dry' toilet systems but if you want to start simple instal a stand-up urinal for the men in the house, one with rocks that are intended to smite the smell -- -- usually charcoal. Fun stuff, shower with a friend. Peace. Oh and never have a sprinkler system, always water the lawn yourself or hire a hot young male to do so - - - and replace most of that water thirsty grass with shrubs. Peace.

•Don't take baths, take showers. Or you can be like the Chinese fill the tub with hot soapy water, and take turns with family members taking a bath in the same water. You should soap up your body before getting in.

•Avoid having a garden, unless you live in a high rainfall area

•Don't flush the toliet so many times, flush only when you poop. Remember this motto "If it's brown let it drown, if it's yellow let it mellow."

•When washing your hands turn on the water for a brief amount of time to wet your hands, then turn it off. Get your hands all soapy then turn the water back on and as quick as you can rinse your hands off.

We can save water by avoiding flushing the toilet unnecessarily and when washing dishes by hand, fill one sink or basin with soapy water. Quickly rinse under a slow-moving stream from the faucet after that.

1) Wash your car with the next rain.
2) Buy disposable dishes so you don't have to do dishes.
3) Wear the same clothes all week until you can overload your washer machine.
4) Pee on the grass instead of water hosing.
5) Take a shower once a week (only if necessary).

Take it to a born again christen. They reckon that they can 'save' anything.

Humans don't actually waste water. It eventually finds its way back to us via rain. Plants on the other hand actually destroy water molecules during the process of phtotosynthesis. They give off oxygen as a waste product.

some of these sound strange but, you can put a brick into your toilet tank so it wont need as much water to fill. Don't let the faucet run when your washing dishes, only turn it on when you are actually rinsing. don't leave the faucet on while your brushing your teeth. and as gross as it may sound....Don't flush your toilet unless you need too, in other words if its yellow its mellow, if its brown flush it down. these are just a few I'm sure thers more.

By being aware of wasting water and by making sure that others you know also understand this. Especially children. They are the worst abusers but you will be surprised how responsive children can be when they are made to understand the benefits of water conservation. So teach your children well.
