WE have a beloved family dog - she is a lhasa - apsa (spelling - please forgive mine).
Our dog is now eighteen years old.
She is in VERY good health - the vet says that she will be with us for maybe another 2 years,
THE ONLT PROBLEM IS THAT SHE HAS 'ACCIDENTS' !!! -
both # 1 & # 2
Does Anybody have any ideas about the # 2 type accidents ???
Old humans wear diappers
But what do people do for dogs AND PLEASE do not suggest putting her 'DOWN'
- she is a member of our family.
Any helpful ideas would be appreciated
Thanking you all in advance !!!

There are diapers you can get for dogs. At most pet stores.
Try getting her on a strict schedule of eating and bathrooming. Same times everyday. That might help. Get up with her at night if she needs it, older parts don't "hold it" as easily.
Good for you, putting up with a little more work that an elderly dog requires. Not many folks do.
Good luck, hope this helps.

Pet stores sell diapers for dogs. Pet diapers are pretty common, try Petsmart or Petco (I saw them there a couple of weeks ago), you could also order them from online. Try feeding her food for older dogs, make sure you don't give her any human food or scraps. Hopefully your dog will wear them, probably not a problem if she's a bit slower now. You can also get her training pads so she'll have a place to go in the house if she can't wait to get outside.

your vet had no suggestions??

They do sell doggie diapers for female dogs in heat...

You can also maybe confine your dog to an area in your house where the floors are easier to clean.

Good luck and congrats on being able to keep your friend for so long.

They sell doggie diapers in alot of store. Both Petsmart and Petco should have some.

I can relete to your situation, pets are a member of the family so, its hard to let go.

Contact your family vet for more infomation.
