Take the 6 to

51 Street /
Lexington Avenue

Tranfer to the E train, headed to 34 Street-Penn Station

The E also goes to Queens so make sure you're on the right platform

Take the 6 train to Grand Central. On that platform you'll just go down some stairs and take the 7 train to Times Square. Then switch to the 1,9, A, C, or E trains. Take any of those trains DOWNTOWN, and the next stop is Penn Station.
