if you have done it , why , how long , results ? I was born again in 87 and
I am just sqeaking by , why did God save me ? Iam bearing no fruit that I know of , I still smoke cigs , nothing else though , heh. is there something God put me here for ? I feel like Iam just drifting , I deliver pizza , wow huh, pardon my french but I simply do not know what the f--k to do , other than the basics , dont lie , steal , etc.... love one another,
pray , love your wife , etc.,.....

Verily it is written (right here, as it happens) that god put you here to deliver pizza, Mysterious ways, see, that's what he's working in. Virgin Mary face is going to be in the topping of one of those little devils one of these days, and someone is going to make a fortune with it on eBay. Then they will feel bad about the particularly lousy tip they gave you and get religion. That's my guess. Let me know when it happens.

I don't understand 'bible fasting', what is that?
You are not a Christian because you don't lie, steal, smoke cigarettes or don't, but because you trust God for what He says.
In trusting God with your confession of the resurrection, you become one of His. His Spirit enters you. The Spirit changes you, you become desirous of the things of God.
What you may be feeling, is the desire set upon you by the Spirit, that urges you to walk in the ways of a Child of God. Not in the ways of the world.
So how do you continue after being saved?
The same way you started. You trust God for the promise that God gives.
How would you know what God said unless you read the Bible? Where are you going to get His truth? What promises do you have from God that you can trust as you can trust Him for salvation?
It's in the Bible. And that's where you must look.
Do you want to stay ignorant of God's word all your life?

Because you haven't grown in the spirit - that is the only reason why you haven't beared any fruit of the spirit - I recommend you to go to church - maybe read your Bible once a day and keep your mind on God and do the things He asks of you (all in the big black book)
Pray and allow other people to pray for you - ask everything in Jesus name - God does love and will never forsake you!

Um.. I don't mean to be indelicate, but...
The absolute first thing you should do is pray to God. If it's been a while since you've prayed, I'd suggest just talking to God like you talk to someone you respect... and be absolutely honest with Him-- say everything you've said here, but direct it to God.
For what it's worth, I've been where you are. It's hard to know your purpose in life. But, it's impossible to know it without first talking to the one who created you... because He's the one who for sure knows why He created you. and why He saved you.
You're asking the right questions.. and you should be happy for that unhappiness that you're experiencing now.. the uncomfortableness of it pushes you to find out who you are, and that's a good thing. There's definitely more to life than the basics-- it's a good start... but in order to be who you are, you're going to have to push yourself to do more than what you're doing now.
delivering pizza-- there's nothing wrong with that. it's an honest job, it pays an honest wage. don't put yourself down... but of course you're meant to do more than just drift.. but that may mean you're delivering pizzas-- but with a smile and a light so bright in your eyes that causes ppl to want the same happiness you have.. and in your delivering of pizzas, you may change a person's life.
the first you must MUST do is to pray right now.. don't delay.. i don't care if you're at work, you don't have to pray outloud-- but you need to pray honestly for God to create a clear path for you, and to show you what you need to do, and how you can do it. Ask Him to be in every part of your life, and to help you.. And I promise you, if you come to God with a honest heart, He will answer your prayers-- and it won't take long.

We fast as a sign to God that we are sacrificing something for him. In the bible people would fast when they wanted the Lord to move for them. To answer a pray they really needed answering. When my church needs for God to move for them they call for the members to fast. I believe od put us all here for a reason. Honey you may never know your reason. But if you need salvation ask God to forgive you of your sins and start praying for God to show you what he wants of you. You say you have no good fruits. Do you not ever help anyone when they need it. Do you give someone a smile when they are down. Honey we don't have to move mountains to make good fruit. All we have to do is be good to others. Help them when we can and thank God for giving us the ability to do so. Find you a good church and get in it. God will show you but first you have to show him that you want him.

repent for any sin
ask God to help you walk in the Spirit not in the flesh
fasting is good, how long and why are up to the Holy Ghost, it sounds to me like you need to be baptized by the Holy Spirit.
Read Acts chapter two
Jesus loves you and there is a reason for you to be saved, but it is your choice weather you walk in you calling or not.
as for the smoking part there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus for those who walk acording to the Spirit not the flesh

read your bible daily, it is a spiritual gym and the spirit needs to be strong to overcome the Flesh and the devil! As far as fasting, Don't eat just drink water all day and hide and read your bible, and God will see your faith and impart spiritual gift unto you then you will bear fruit! And answer your prayers .

Regarding fasting, I have fasted for 4 days (water, no food). And other shorter fasts (1 day no water or food). And other simpler longer fasts -- 1 year, miss one meal a day as a fast.
The fasting worked very well; focused my thoughts and attention on God and to stay in constant prayer and awareness of my prayer to him.

I really don't get this

and you talk about bible and Christianity
Israel is the land of the Jews,
the Jews crucified the Christ!
What is it with some American Protestants?
are they blind?

You have come to God and no reply from him you are not delusional like the other sheep slowly finding their food feed to them by some mindf*cking preacher. Work on yourself not on trying to please God.
