I did a search and came up with nothing. Sorry, but I tried.

What several of the previous posters said. Finding reliable statistics on this would be virtually impossible. I know people who would say that if a Christian commits suicide, they're not actually Christians at all. Many 'Christians' are only Christian on the surface as well - actually taking a more agnostic or even athiestic view, but when asked, say they're Christian just because that's what they've grown up in. How do you know that the suicidal person hasn't just had a change of religon to something else entirely without telling anyone?
Also... statistics can always be skewed toward the result you want. You can find one study saying one thing, and another saying something completely different.
I would guess that there is no major difference.

One problem with finding such statistics is the definition of each category. Do you include all Christian groups, including Mormons, Catholics, and Protestants (I'm sure at least some people will say that Mormons and/or Catholics aren't Christians, but both view Jesus as the Savior)? And defining atheists as a group is likewise difficult. Are we talking only about people who affirmatively declare that they are an atheist? Or are agnostics and passively non-religious folk also included? There would have to be a clear delineation of who would be included in order to draw any meaningful conclusions from the study. Methodology is everything.

Dogma states that no Christian can commit suicide. Hemmingway was an atheist. Score; 0-1

I don't know. But there should be many more christian suicides. Did you know every time a christian dies, the world gets a little more peaceful?

My serious answer is that I doubt there are any *reliable* stats on a thing like that.

No.
I don't think it would be possible to come up with that type of statistic. I don't know of any 1-800-I am going to kill my self and this is my religious or lack of religious preference phone number.

If you commit suicide then you aren't a Christian.
