I would like to know what type of gloves they use in the ufc, like where they show your fingers allowing you to grab yet still punch?

In the UFc they use Open-Palmed gloves which weigh 4oz. They were derived from the JKD glove the Legend Bruce Lee designed. They give your hand enough protection when punching and the open-palm means that they can still be used by a grappler or ground fighter. They are perfect for hitting the heavy bag but if you unfit and get tired you wont close your hand when hitting and you will hurt your hand. So make sure you punch with a closed hand at all times.

i think that those are sparring gloves which only provide the minimum protection, go to a dojo or a martial arts store. they will be able to help you better.
