1 My attraction to Yahoo Answers is waning as a result of the inconsistant application of the rules. I don't spend as much time here since I reached level 6.

2. There are one or two people I communicate with.

3. If I want real knowledge I "Google" it or research it myself.

4. I almost became a potato beetle, lol.

5. Yor question has to do with addiction, so you were correct to place it in the mental health catergory

What do you call "permanent"? You mean on here? Can you really have a complete relationship with a cyber-person?
If I help one person in some way, it's time well spent.
Maybe. I've found some interesting sites. I see a lot of truly caring answers. I think there are far more positive than negative attitudes (depending on the time of day :) I think it is improving my opinion of the human race.
Usually, the Internet is a luxury I can't afford. I have the opportunity to use it right now and plan to enjoy it. No, I'm not a computer potato. I am not a vegetable at all :)

This is a very profound question. I think a lot of people answering questions might or might not be couch potatoes. Im sure people are gaining knowledge that improves their lives if they care to seek it out. And im sure there are people that get in touch and keep contact through this site but i believe that the most important thing about this site is that you have the ability to help others. Not all of us work for a Non profit organization or are active in the community or are social workers. Not all of us dedicate our time for a worthy cause, might be cause we dont have enough time or we havent really thought about it. But this site lets us help others even though with simply answering someones question. You feel good that you may have affected someones life in a positive way, helped them get through tough times. Thats why i like this site and i come back here to help others such as you. Hope this helps.

Since I have been on here I have made some online friends, and also have increased my knowledge on subjects I have had no previous knowledge of or found sites that have taken my interest that I would not have found otherwise from this site.

I have asked questions and received answers to these questions and no I dont know if I am a computer potato, but I definatly spend time on here having fun!

I think you're right to a degree. 1. No, I haven't developed any relationships but I don't think that's what this is for. 2. I haven't gained very much knowledge if any from this site. If I learned something I forgot it already. 3. I totally spend too much time here. Sometimes I feel like I'm neglecting my family b/c I'm here looking at stupid questions instead of playing with my daughter.

I think this site is okay, you gain knowledge of stuff you didn't know before (maybe it won't drastically improve your life but it helps somehow), and you can get help on your problems with people who have those problems too. I'm not saying spend your whole day with it bcuz it's the best thing in the world, but hey you should try it.

How would you rate this category insofar as being a good one for this question? Because I don't think it belongs in Mental Health!
