you can probably get everything from fruits and veggies, you would have to make sure there is a wide variety and lots of things with proteins like beans and nuts.

You need to make sure you get protein from legumes (beans) and nuts. Soy will be an important part of your diet. The problem with these vegetarian protein sources though is that they lack some of the critical amino acids found in meat protein, You should take an amino acid supplement to make sure you are getting all the essential nutrients (a regular multi-vitamin does NOT include aminos so that won't help).

Nope. The body HAS to have some sort of protein, which comes from meat, to help keep the body functioning. Without it, High levels of acid could build up in the body, and start shutin down all of your organs. So, "Be neat, Eat Meat" LOL

Vegetarian Indians have been doing it for decades. My wifes family hasn't had meat for many generations and live pretty long.

You need to know how to get protein though. Beans especially lentils are key.

fruits and veggies don't have much by way of protien, you need to add legumes (beans, peanuts, stuff like that) as well.
