,

People didn't say that - God did. The reason, is that Sin is Sin, it is rebellion against God's commands. Take this analogy for instance:
Someone tells you a lie, and then someone else tells you another lie. The impacts of each lie were probably different, one may have been more severe than the other, but they were both lies just the same. Basically, Sin is evil - and evil is what it is, so if it is all abominable to God, the amount is irrelevant.
Secondly - how does recognizing sin influence one's concept of right and wrong? It doesn't, if they recognize sin - then they are aware of the difference.

Adam and Eve gave us that solution about six thousand yers ago. they ate from the tree of knowlege of good and evil. we all can tell what is right and what is wrong. and i am gratefull for that. sin, no matter what it is, is going against what God put in place. for example. homosexuals and bisexuals are sinners because God made us male and female. He made us that way because He wanted us to propagate our species in the most pleasurable way that He could think of. to go against that is a sin. another example is abortion. no offence to the legal system, but life begins just before the moment of conception. after conception a humn being is being formed and a personal is created. killing that person that is in the womb is murder in the worst sense. that could have been the next einstien or bill gates or even the next elvis. all sins are equal in the sight of God and we as humans have the responsibility to do what is right by what God has laid down.

All sins are not equal when it comes to the acts themselves. Adultery is bad but not in the same category as child molestation. Even the Bible says there will be degrees of punishment in hell. The overall statement of "all sins are equal" is the equivalent to the statement, "all stand equal at the foot of the cross";meaning that no one person is better than another-we all stand in need of a Savior and forgiveness. It is a universal need Individual sins will not keep you from entering heaven - it is the rejection of Jesus Christ that sends your soul to hell.

Well, to people all sins are not equal. However, I think when people say "all sin are equal" they are refering to the Bible. Because, if you believe in God and what the Bible says, in God's eyes all sin is the same. Every man is unworthy no matter what sin he commits so all sin is equal. It is only through the blood of Jesus that cleansing can happen

We have the 10 commandements ans the teachings of Christ to follow. They are very simple and easy to follow IF you love God and Jesus. And as for all sins are equal, you are exactly right. Jesus told us that if we break one commandment, then we have broken them all.The book of Revelation was given to John by Jesus. Jesus stated there that that all liers were equal to the same punishment as all murders. Non entry into the Kingdom of Heaven.

All sins being equal is to say that they all carry the same penalty. You drive intoxicated you loose your license for 6 months; you drive 30 mph over the speed limit, you loose you license for 6 months. Different infractions, same punishment.
The good news is that they also all carry the same payment. Jesus death on the cross.

They say it because they are using God as the gold standard. But by that everything we do is sin. Even though somethings may seem pure inside us I am sure there is an impure motive for everything.
I think it is a sign of ignorance. God knows and sees, so there fore he understands too. I doubt God thinks in Black and White.

all sin is not equel, like murder is worst than cursing. The bible says that there is sin that leads to death and sin that dont, But at any point you are still a law breaker in need of a savior!

if a person knows what sin is and knows what is sin according to the bible and they know that sin is wrong then they know the difference between right and wrong.
