Hello, my girlfriend and I have been dating for only about a month and a half. Things are going great. She is so sweet and I adore her. Her birthday is coming up in September. What is the most I should spend on her? I don't want to be cheap, but then again, I don't want to scare her off by getting her too much. Also, suggestions on what to get her. Thank you

definitely have a wrapped present for her to remember you by...(this is the first gift dane gave me!)
and treat her to a night out ...maybe to dinner or a movie, or whatever you two like to do together.

It's too early for really personal gifts -- maybe some nice earrings or perhaps a necklace. You could get something with her birth stone in it -- which is sapphire for September. You can get something nice for around $50-$100, but don't spend any more than that at this stage.
If you think jewellery might be a bit much at this early stage of your relationship, maybe you could get her some flowers and a CD/DVD/book you know she'll like? Or a board game you can play together (I know it sounds dorky, but it's lots of fun!).
Either way, she'll love whatever you get her -- you seem really sweet and caring, so I'm sure whatever she gets will be a bonus. Good luck! :o)

a purse a kind that she likes
a simple necklace for like 40 bucks or 60
Or a i-pod or accesories
Or a mp3 player (80)

Dinner and nice flowers are a must! we ladies like attention. treat her like a lady, get her a basket full of different chocolates and then get her a nice pure gold chain with a heart shapped pendant. this will earn u more points... its not cheap, neither is it too expensive. u'll just seem romantic and sweet. remember, no movies... its kind of an everyday thing!

Knowing her age would help. Why not make her dinner. Doesn't cost much and it shows you care. Maybe a CD you know she wants...
