I think the statement was an introspective statement. This guy was looking inside him self and thinking how he would feel if he didn't believe in God. Most Christians are not capable of putting them selves in other peoples minds, because this is dangerous to their belief. I find it hard to swallow anything that a Christian tells me on this matter, if they are incapable of seeing things from my point of view, then any discussion would be pointless. You can not win an argument with an ignorant man, it's just not possible.

Happiness is not a product of aggravation and hostility. Christianity gives people a purpose and a guideline. I believe atheism is not bad however it is a medium between all religions. In time, some type of religion or belief will swindle in and captivate you. Until then ...I say be happy.

Don't konw who the Avadaman is, but he must come from deep monocultural society. Whatever he says must have applied to any deeply religion or spiritual peson.
But there are hapy religious people as well as atheists. It's more about how they go thought the deepest trouble - not through the hapiest times

Happiness is not counted by the worldly pleasures but by the state of his internal happiness. A person may be poor by by way of his worldly physical possessions but he might be more happy than the richest person. And this is not limited by the religions the persons follow but by the acts they do to fulfill the purpose of life given to them.

I'm not always happy; seeing all the hatred in the world and knowing that there are so many who deny Jesus Christ it's a sad feeling

Let me re-phrase the worse for you..
Christians are unhappy because they don't understand the gravity of life and they got to do things that they don't like and don't get to do things that they like as discribed in a fairy tale.
Aethists are happy because they don't believe in a misserable fairy tale and are free to do things they like.

Thank you for sharing this info.
I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).
Cordially,
John

Its just propaganda. Nothing more. I am a happy Christian, my fiance is a happy agnostic, and I know a few happy atheists. Happiness is NOT based in religion, its enviromental, circumstantial, and chemical.
