Some christians consider it heretical to practice any sort of "magic", or anything related to it. They believe that anything that is supernatural, that is not the direct result of the hand of the christian god and/or jesus, is the work of the devil, who is attempting to lead good christians away from their faith.

Pay no mind to such people; their opinions and beliefs are rather absurd. Tarot cards are harmless, and are hardly unchristian. At the very worst, they're just a waste of your time.

As a new christian, I would encourage to consider your new faith and ask Christ where he would have you go with the Tarot cards? I believe if you truly seek his answers you will find Truth. In his truth you will find that Tarot cards are a tool of Satan to lead us away from Christ and not towards and that he will stack the deck to make things looks really good for you for awhile so that you feel "wow, being a Christian is great", but I promise you that Satan will not want you being a wow christian forever, so the cards will turn against you - but Christ never will turn against you and when the wow begins to settle down, you will be tempted to return to the sins of the old habits, but as you keep striving to fill your soul with Christ and his truths, you will notice that the cards will never stack up favorably against God's word and God's word will never let you down nor limit you to a certain deck - but you are the one who has to take it to Christ - all our answers can only encourage you, you are the one who has to choose - but with Christ at your heart's center - let him help you make the choices - then you can rest assured you've chosen wisely and accurately. This is where you learn that a Strong's Concordance is a great Bible Study reference tool - www.biblegateway.com has an online one you can use and you can reference anything that has to do with divination, occult, paganism ... and then as you read God's words you will know exactly what you have to do. Just don't be surprised if you find the tarot cards get tossed because God's word has so many more options available to you! Welcome to the family of God - as you grow and mature you will face many temptations, take them all to Jesus - I learned the hard way through a rebellious spirit, but Christ won out and I'm so glad! I finally have genuine peace!! and all I need is my Bible, prayer, and quiet time with Christ.

As you start growing in the Lord and start having a personal relationship with Jesus you will notice a lot of things in your life will change. Certain things that were once OK with you all of a sudden become not OK. It's easy for more 'mature' Christians to tell you this is wrong and that is wrong be because they have had victory over this and that in their lives. Once you start reading your Bible and developing a relationship with Jesus you will start noticing what is right and what is wrong. The Bible specifically points out wrongs, and yes tarot reading etc. is one of those things. Conviction is between you and the Holy Spirit. God bless.

Simply put: It is forbidden. Tarot cards are not God's method of communicating with Christians. If it is not God's, then it must be the prince of this world.

If you want to find out about God, read his book, the bible. Christians believe that the bible is the word of God as spoken through the prophets. It is a tool for the believer, so use it.

Tarot cards are a sort of fortune telling, which is a sin. If you want answers, then why wouldn't you want to ask someone who is real: Jesus Christ. Instead of relying on cards and chance, you should put your faith in God. Spend time in His word and pray. You'll find that things may turn out much better.

Tarot cards are pagan if not occult, and not in the christian faith. There is a long history of the church trying to teach its precepts that God works miracles, and anything mystical or magical (ie. pagan) is from satan. It may be true or just a way to garner influence. Your call.

Tarot cards deal with the occult, and the occult is the realm of satan. If you are a Christian, you need to abandon all things that have to do with satan.

By the way, satan would just love, love, love for you to listen to advice that these sorts of things are "harmless"!

Tarot cards are one major way for the devil to keep a foothold on your life. it is a way that he can keep you a captive in your own body. Christ wants to set you free from all of the devils holds on your life. i have never gone near anyone who says that they can tell the future from readin anything physical. it is a trap that will hold you tight away from what God wants you to do. i urge you t burn those cards and anything else that is slightly occultish, and never return to that life regardless of what happens. only God can tell you what will happen. and he rarely does so. there is a reason why He tells us not to get mixed up with that trash. it is a road to eternal destruction.

Because if you have Faith in your GOD then you trust HIS plan for your life. Using tarots to predict your life is just simply making the cards dictate your life and showing the fact that you don't have faith in your GOD coz it seems you don't trust on His masterplan for your life.
