Go to Control Panel, and select add/remove software. When it finishes populating the list, select the software by name and select remove/modify. This works in most cases, but may leave a fragment of the program hear and there. These generally don't cause any problems. If they do reinstall the program and contact the software site of origin and ask them about removing it from your system.

specific instructions for removing popcorn.net from your pc can be found at this url:
http://www.schrockinnovations.com/removepopcorn.php

if you're not interested in learning how you got it on your pc in the first place, skip down to the heading "UPDATED REMOVE popcorn.net INSTRUCTIONS:" and read from there, at the bottom are the numbers 1 2 3 4 - click 2 to move onto page 2 and so on.

it may not seem like a 'one click' solution, but that's because popcorn.net is a particularily nasty little bug so all steps are necessary.

good luck.

don't forget to 'accept' this answer if it worked for you.

QUOTING Trevor:
To date I have helped over 1 million people get rid of Movieland and Moviepass (it's a large scale, worldwide problem) and have created a website with detailed removal instructions. Please visit the website and follow the instructions, they're written for Movieland and Moviepass but apply also to Popcorn - wherever it says Moviepass just substitute the word Popcorn (I'll update the site when time permits).

i guess u r using Windows Operating System.Go to (start->settings-> control panel-> add or remove programs) and see if it is there in that list. If that program(popcorn) is there in the list click on remove to remove it. else search for files named popcorn from search option and delete all the files.

Try installing an anti-apyware product like Spybot Search and Destroy or Lavasoft Ad-aware

Chances are, it's spyware, so you might need to get a good spyware remover like Spybot to get rid of it. Otherwise, you should check for its directory in Program Files (if you are on windows) and try deleting it.

Delete all the files you know of then run a registry program such as registry mechanic to fix up the broken registry links.
