I work at Starbucks so caffiene and the heart go hand in hand. I will say this. Caffeine is like any other drug. Once its content is injected into your body; everything about you goes on a rush. Since you aleady have a high level of I believe its called Adrenaline; your body producess excess of it, causing you to have things like nervous twitches; heart palpitations, dialated pupils, the shakes, BELiEVE or not; loose bowels.

Your adrenal glands produced what is called seratonin. Seratonin, is mononamime nerotransmitter; that is used in your body that controls the regulation of your mood, sleep and sexual desire. A lot of times the excess of this will lead to bile and eventually your body goes through major shocks.

You have to do several things to quit; START drinking a lot of water and tea. Your body will go through some SERIOUS and I MEAN SERIOUS withdrawls. You will have mood swings, fatigue, nausem [ the worst I hate ]; believe it or not, the second worst drug to kick next to heronine is well CAFFINE. Its potent stuff.

Drink caffeine in moderation; just remember that, any added stimulant to your already high emimtting seratonin, can only lead to worst things down the line like; heart failure, liver corrosion , kidney problems. Start DRINKING your water, that actually will help you to wake up. Exercise. Excersise.

Well, I hope this helps.

Now off to go get some water.

Ciao.

It may very well help. One side effect of kicking the caffeine habit is a headache. I had one for about a week. It's worth it in the long run, but the headache sux for about a week. Good Luck!

P.S. If you think you are having heart palpitations you need to see a Dr. It may be the caffeine, but it could be something more serious. Get it check out.

No two people are the same.Caffine doesnt seem to give some people a reaction like some others.By the way,why are you drinking things you know will make you nervous?Do you like that feeling? You never said anything about wanting to fix this problem or that you had a problem with it.But if you dont like the feeling of nervousness, try different things.NO CAFFEINE!

Change pop to soda water (Club Soda). The sugar is giving you a sugar high but when the levels drop it feels weird. Hypoglycaemia could be considered. Try to reduce coffee intake gradually to avoid hangover like headaches but as you know caffeine is a stimulant and you are right to make these observations

Yeah, quit the caffeine. Also, going for a 1/2 hour walk can be very relaxing. Or if you're more athletic, go jogging.

If you are having heart palpitations, you need to limit yourself on the caffine or quit all together. Caffine has been proven to cause anxiety and nervousness. You will be more calm without it.

Gradually reduce your caffine intake over time, and it should help you quit.

you'll spaz out without caffeine because it's a drug and you DO form an addiction to it. if you don't get your caffeine you'll have a terrible headache in the back of your head. you need to do it gradually and you will be better off.
