I agree with you on this. I don't think that God judges or condemns our actions at all. I think that God simply wants us to experience life and all that comes with it, including "imperfection".
I believe that we are here so that God can experience God's self.
God knows what God is, but the knowing of a thing and the experiencing of it are two entirely different things. For example you know what ice cream is, but experiencing the taste of it is different (and SO much better) than just intellectually knowing that it is frozen cream and sugar.
God created life as we know it so that God could experience God's self in the world of relativity through us, who are each an individuation of the whole.
God does not judge us for our actions...after this physical incarnation ends we will return to the spiritual dimension and decide if we want to stay or experience another physical incarnation. This is how we serve God.
So, live life with joy and gratitude and take advantage of the chance to fully experience every event that comes your way.

God it like any other father out there...he likes to dangle a carrot in front of the donkey's face to see if it bites. My father used to keep beer on the bottom shelf of the fridge when I was a teenager...temtation staring me in the face anytime I wanted a snack. God made the Sinner and the Sin...you can't have one without the other. I've always felt there were a few rules you needed to stick to and as long as you didn't cross those lines you were forgiven regardless. The theory of an apocolypitical God comes much later in the Bible after missionaries were set up in areas like India where the peaceful Christian God had to be a better and more "fearful" god than Vishnu and the others to convert people. There was very little mention of the wrath of God prior to the New Testament, and in comparison to Revelations it seemed more like a slap on the hands then burning in Hell. I'm taking my chances. :)

You say that you want to be who you are. But really who you are is deeply influenced by our culture. Did you immediately follow all the styles when you were a young innocent child? Did you immediately cuss, want sex, eat fast food, feel the need for money, or otherwise? These are all parts of our culture. It is not who you are. You may be refering to the fact that you feel unaccepted by God because you are gay. If that is so, then isn't homosexuality yet another label of our society? There will always be the temptations of this world. Some will always feel tempted to lust after those of the same sex. Some will often struggle with pornography. Some will always long for just one more drink, one more drug. But God is there to help us look past that, to Him. These feelings won't go away until we WANT them to. There is so much more to life than what many have. The amazing thing about God is, that even if you sin millions of times, He will forgive. You just have to ask.

Because sin is of the Devil, and your saying its just a part of who you are, so doesen`t it make since to get the devil out of you? God did not make you that way, when you were born, you were a sweet baby, that was good, and kind, and only knew love, but the wickedness of the world enters into us and we sin, when we were children, we didn`t worry about money, or having a beautiful home, or beautiful car, or how to pay the bills, we didn`t think about sex, but with age all these things come into our hearts, even when we wish they wouldn`t, thats why we ask for forgivness. have you noticed how most children are happy, laughing, having a good time, adults on the other hand are complaining most of the time about one thing or another. I sure hope this helps you, It would be a shame for anyone to go to hell just because they wouldn`t ask to be forgiven. And a true christian will not judge you, because we have all been sinners.

God did not create us to be imperfect. the Genesis account clearly explains that mankind only became sinful after choosing to be separate from God. This does not mean that we were defective to begin with, because this was a very real choice all creation with free will had and still does have. It just so happens that independance from God is just like independance from the air we breath: highly uncomfortable. So, God needs to see us, offspring of man and woman who made one decision, make our own decision. The thought that we can actually aspire and achieve to be better than what we are is a monumental one. If God doomed us no matter what, he would be no better than other humans or even the Devil. That is why we need to take the first step in becoming better people by acknowledging our past wrongs and asking God to put those past us. It frees our consciences and makes serving Him much easier to do.

God did not make a robot, he gave you free will. The reason it is so important to ask for forgiveness is to show your obedience to God.Why do we need to show our obedience to God you ask is to show that he and he alone is the master of your life.None of us are perfect as you know and we all have someone over us,whether it be a boss or your parents or God or satan or a seargent and so on.We have to answer to someone in our lifes, what makes this different is were dealing with eternity.Whether we want to feel eternal damnation and death or peace and live on in a spiritual way with our father.God gave us a choice and one of our chores is to ask for forgiveness when we sin,its just like takin out the trash or cleaning your house and so on.I don't actually think of it as a chore as I do obiding his command.I have never considered myself a mindless follower I'm just someone trying my best to get to a better place.I know that heaven is going to be 200 percent or more better than where I am right now and hell the total opposite. So you decide do you really want to play with what if's or maybe's.

I think you got a little confused.God made you by giving you life.He gives these choices in life & your responcibility to make the right one.No one is asking you to change who you are.Its just a way to be a better person & admitting your wrong doings is Gods way of giving you another chance.A friend of mine always said that a lot of what Jesus said didn't make much sense.Like "love your never like you love yourself" what if you had really low selfesteem? You could be leaning over your garden hedge yelling "screw you!screw the two of us!"So being a christian is a very confusing religion. But we have been taught that God wants us to admit ours sin so we are aware were we went wrong & he can try & forgive us.Don't be wrecking your head with it though.Just get on with life & enjoy because you can do all the appaligiseing when your dead

I am not Christian but I will tell you how I understand it.
The point of life is not so that we just cost though it and get buy but rather that we should improve ourselves. Our flaws were put in us that we should overcome them. Some people are very lazy while others have short tempers. It is our job in life to make ourselves and thus perfecting ourselves. When we are trying to perfect ourselves we are emulating G-d who is perfect and thus achieving the meaning of our lives.
that being said forgiveness is part of that because you are not asking G-d to forgive you rather you are admitting you made a mistake and testifying that you will try to avoid doing that and thus working on your perfection.
the last thing we should do is be happy with where we are but rather constantly trying to push ourselves further.

I guess I need to ask you a question or two. Are you happy in your sinning? Do you cast it away with thoughts like " I guess thats just who I am " every body sins anyway ect..? Or do you really want to keep from sin and hate its effects and want make right what you have done wrong to others ?. If your not wanting the later no amount of answers will really help you understand.

Hi, I appreciate your tone in asking this question. Remember my answer will from a Christian perspective.
Most Christians believe that we are all sinners. Our sinful nature causes us to sin. Look at the world today, humans just manage to make a mess of things. God is perfect and we can never be perfect, even if we try like crazy, we aren't perfect. God gave us freewill and with that freewill we screw up.
One might say, but I am a good person. Fine, and probably true but no person can ever live a lifetime without a bad thought, a jealous thought and so on. Someone might say, what about babies, they can't sin? Really? They can, babies (I love 'em) are very selfish creatures they want what they want regardless of how hard it is on mom or dad and yes, that is sin....not perfection. So we have a sinful human beings with free will. Yikes!
So God created us, gave us the Garden of Eden - but Eve sinned and from that point sin became inherent in all human beings to come. It's passed down. God loves us, & wants to be able to look at us -so he gave his son for us. Imagine Christ standing in heaven. All heck breaks loose when you die and all your past sins are a flying by, and you think-oh crap, I forgot about that one, I'm sunk. Christ intervenes and says, Father, this one is mine. (I hope or I am in big trouble :-)
So we ask for forgiveness because we are born sinful, because of sin in the garden of eden. We want to be reconciled to our father, so we believe in Jesus as our savior. God did not create you to sin, that is free will and the desire to sin is inborn. You ask wouldn't God want you to be who you are? Use the parent/child relationship as a model. I love my kids, but I can see when they have made bad choices and I want them to be better than that. Magnify that times infinity and you have God loving us in that way. God wants what is best for you, like a father or mother wants for their children, even though the kids are battling it all the way!
Listen, I do understand what you are talking about when you say mindless followers, but that isn't true for all Christians. Sometimes the louder ones maybe. Give some of us a chance, I'm not trying to convert anyone, but I enjoy hearing what others think and feel. I'm glad we can do it without insult - thanks
