I believe you have picked up a virus that is causing your Explorer to crash. Some are written to restart the computer on it's own, and storing itself in your c:\windows\system32 folder and in your "startup"...so that it continues to run every time you start your machine. You can check the startup programs by going to the "command prompt" which is on your "start, programs, accessories" menu. Once there, type MSCONFIG and hit enter. Then click on the last tab at the top which is the "startup" area. Normally, you'll be able to recognize any unusual looking program which can look identical in spelling as some of your windows system files. If you have any question about any files you see there, go to Google and type the name of the files in their search box and it will tell you exactly what that file is and what it does. If I can help,,,,Viruses, Trojans, Varients, Keyloggers and Worms are my specialty. Hit me on dumbbutt4321@yahoo.com I'll be happy to help. Larry...P.S. If you have the program called "hijack this" which is free...it will provide you with a list of all of your systems files which you can copy and send to me and i'll check it for you. You can also reach your startup area by clicking on "Start" then on "Run"... In the box,,,type in MSCONFIG

maybe these files require high graphics and high rams, so try working on that thing with acceleration of rams and VGA card.

OR, you can reinstall windows, because most conflicts, and other things are returned to default.

OR, try opening the folder options, and choose these files not to open in the player that is causing the problem, (Let it always tell you Open With...) then try to scroll in the folder that is freezing, if the computer didnt freez, then there something with your player....try reinstalling

Good Luck....
