i found the audio book on itunes.

would it be ok if i listened to the audiobook instead of read the book?

I'd say it depends on what their purpose is in having you read these books.
If they just want to expose you to literature and keep your mind active during the summer then audiobooks are great.
I personally love audiobooks. They move along at a steady pace and keep you interested even in not so exciting books.
However, if their purpose is for you to really get the most out of them and actively understand plots/characters/themes/etc. you have to actually read it, there's no substitute for seeing every word--actively reading (taking notes, underlining, and such)

it somewhat is greater proper than reading the Spark notes or observing a action picture, because of the fact it generally includes each and every of the words from the unique. scholars with clinically determined discovering disabilities are allowed to hearken to the books. yet element of the ingredient to reading is to advance reading skills, and you do no longer try this by utilising listening.
