You have to be able to forgive. We all have to forgive, and it comes at the most difficult point and is usually the most difficult thing that ever happened to you, and the worst and most painful of all trusts is trusting yourself and disappointing yourself, so trust is not really what you thought it was when you were younger.
Being in a relationship is a risky business. It requires the realization that you can and are willing to trust again. If your trust is not returned, then you have to both forgive yourself and the other person and move on.
So step up to the real issue, do you really love this guy and do you really believe he will be a person that you well be able to trust in again? Remember, however, there is no guaranties in life despite what he or anyone else may say.
Also, you should talk to many people, Preachers, doctors, lawyers, girl friends and Mother if possible and If you can find one, Indian Chiefs and god. Then make up your own mind.
Life is really tough in America at this point. So be kind to yourself.

I think you said it best when you say that you didn't know if you could give him your trust again. I don't think you ever truly will be able to completely trust him. And if you can't trust him, then things will probably turn bad because there will be some times where you don't trust him and whether or not he did anything won't matter, you'll have already made up your mind.

If you love him and he cheated on you and you go back with him afterwards, it won't get better, it will get worse. He'll cheat on you more and more because now he thinks he can get away with it. Now if you've been broken up for six months and he's been celibate and is the one desperately trying to get back with you, then that's a guy who made a huge mistake, learned from it, and maybe can be trusted. Unless that's the case, you can expect he'll cheat on you again sooner than later.

Well, it depends if HE likes you back... COs there will be no relationships for sure if the other one doesnt have a feeling for you. Cheating once is ALREADY a sign of being untrusted. I suggest looking for someone else or if you REALLY like him, then give him a last chance.

If you think you can't trust him again what is the point of you wanting to get back with him??
Is it the sex? cause that probably wont last and he'll find someone else again anyway..........

try and move one, if you got back with him he would cheat again, once a cheater always a cheater, and it will hurt more later, so it's just best to try to deal with this sucky situation and move forward, even though that is hard to do when you love someone. goodluck.

Good word of advice...never make someone a priority who chooses to make you an option (though it's easier said than done). ; )
