you're an idiot if you think the UN helps anyone.
all that bastard organization does is promote graft and bribery. remember the 'oil for food' program that made Koffee Annon and his son rich?
get real---tibet is ON THEIR own because China has a permanent seat on the security council.
they're screwed.

If Tibet is free, then how will it prosper and grow? China just spent millions on constructing a railway to improve both transportation and tourism but the Tibets are always saying they are enslaved and yet they have the same freedoms as before. Tibet didn't have the resources, and the administration of the Dalai Lama made very few improvements. Tibet has benefitted by the incursion by China and when people stop the idiocy of wanting to be free, they will see the benefits brought by a strong economy. Why should the UN do something when it is not an issue. Look at the slow progress of the economy since the DaLai Lama left, and the economic gains will be faster now with a good transport system.

Tibet should exist as another state but there are no member countries lobbying with the UN to force China in Tibet its sovereignty. A member state should file a case for this purpose with the International Court of Justice of the UN.

I wish I knew. I've supported the cause for a free Tibet for a long time and there seems to be no outside help for the people there. Perhaps no one wants to get involved because of China's size and economic power.

Frank the Commie-apologist is wrong. China built that train to make it easier for the Han Chinese to move to Tibet and swamp the local population. Most of the jobs created in Tibet, and Xinjiang, have not gone to local people, but to Han Chinese.
Unfortunately China is too big for the UN or any country to want to stand up to them. Even London's supposedly progressive mayor, 'Red' Ken, is willing to laugh off the Tienanmen Square massacre to get more business deals with China. I hope I live to see that wretched regime collapse.

That is because the UN is opposed to freedom. they are all about disarming regular people and making citizens into slaves. its on their website. If you are a tibetan, then I suggest you kill any UN personnel you see in tibet. they are informing the PRC government on the actions of tibetan freedom fighters.
