It's not. Your probably still live alot better than them though, and you're definatley a better person. :/

But moronic socialists and liberals think that MORE money should go to the government to help this guy that doesn't do anything all day.

*cough* to put it bluntly. >_>

Thats what I thought when I had my business etc then I got severely injured and spent 2/3 years retraining at the local council training center and met a lot of these so called spongers alyhough not getting up at 5 as the center opens at 9 they as I were putting in 30+ hours a week training unpaid and walking everywhere and struggling to get interviews I have a job now but actually wrote over 2000 letters and applications as most of those did with no hope of getting a job, you should try it sometime. There will always be 1/2% who wont work but this great number that the government along with TV keep talking about don't exist, they all want to earn enough to have a holiday or buy their kids an ice cream like most of us do without thinking. Have a real look like me it may change your mind

Simple: It's NOT! Back in England I used to work from 8am to 7.30pm five days a week, which left little time for any sort of quality time. Never mind the fact that the state takes a huge chunk of your earnings at the end of each month- it's sickening!!!Yet people who decide to sponge of the system and are perfectly happy living of the dole, are free to fill their days with whatever the heck they please. It's not fair, and it makes you wonder sometimes why you even bother, when they seem to get so much for nothing. But at the end of the day I rather work hard, be independent, have some selfworth and pride in what I do, than be a sponger. Also, I prefer my own flat over any council estate property any day!!!

Easy !!!. You are obviously someone who is trying to make a better life for yourself and your family. I'm the same and have nearby neighbours who do the same thing, the difference is that I don't allow myself to be dragged down to this level again.I only say this because many people in a situation like this simply don't have a way out. There are many reasons for this including chemical abuse(ie alcohol, drugs),physical abuse (you know what I mean).etc. I was the same, however managed to pull my life together and start again.Don't worry so much about what your neighbours are doing and try to help as much as you can to make these people become a useful cog in the wheel of society.!

P.s. I wake up at 4 a.m. to go to work (construction) and get home at approx. 5.30 p.m. every day other than Sunday.

been here and i have been on the other side. Trust me when i say i rather work and pay my way. But does your neighbour have a problem i.e disablity physical/mental? or are they just plain lazy? Don't be to quick to judge unless you do know ALL the facts. I couldn't work due depression (i look fit enough to work to people who don't know me) than my hubby lost his job so you see circumstances do have a part. (My hubby works now) so don't judge unless you do know. I know it's not fair going to work at 5 while your neighbours are tucked up in bed, just remember you will have pride and self respect throughout. Maybe when it comes to pension age you will have a great package while your neighbours (If they are living on benefits long term) may not have such a good one. Remeber hold your head up high when you have to crawl your butt out of bed to go to work.

I suffered a serious illness a while back which meant i had to beg for incapacity benefit.. I had a job to go back to and have always worked.. but i had to go for a medical at the medical services place and i was amongst alot of people..probably some genuine and probably alot not genuine! I was asked if i was worried re my visit that day .. and i said "WHY no offence to the genuine ones..but i'm sure there are people you see on a daily basis that are skiving and i'm a genuine case.. so why should i be worried!" She looked shocked lol! Needless to say I kept my benefits and then worked my way back to getting back to work!!! Unless you know for sure your neighbour is skiving .. you don't always know what goes on behind closed doors! I know it's not fair..it p*sd me off that I (a genuine case) had to proove my illness, so to speak...after only getting incap benefit for 5 months! What have I paid national insurance for, for years...like we all do! The government said they are clamping down on it.. I Hope they do! It's not fair that we pay taxes for the ones that are skiving..but remember some are genuinly not well.. as i wasn't!!

PS if you up at 5am for work..how come you can come on net at this time lol back of 6am to ask questions..must be good job you have loL!

Its not fair!! Maybe they cannot find employment? To be fair there are so many little jobs about maybe they are finding it hard to get a job or maybe it is a case that they are lazy and happy to sit in the house. Or is there maybe a reason that they cannot work? Whatever the reason try not to let what other people do bother you as they cannot possibly be financially secure unemployed.

I know it's a load of crap, this Friday (as I have no days off this week) I will be working for 20 days straight. As Saturday and Sunday were overtime days - only to be taxed more to support sponges.

Bc the bums are milking the system.

Bc worthless politicians vote immoral benefits ro realize political gains for themselves at SOMEONE ELSES's expense. It's the same in many other places I know, signally the US, land of the freebie.

Bc you STILL have integrity and character. At least for the present. Once you walk the Envy Hiighway though, you would be different.

Is it fair ?.

You bet your a ss it ain't, but get this:

Don't look for fair anything in politics. Like tooth fairy money, y'know.

what type of life is that?(living off the state)...maybe its because of disability, or theyre still seeking a job that theyll never find. but at the end of the day, ure a hard worker and will reap the benefits of independence soon.have u ever noticed how limited those type of people think/ most of them are severly unintelligent. i bet most of them dont mind , but the saddest thing is that their children grow up with the'council flat' and' i did not get my check this week ' mentality. im sure youre not like that
keep the faith.:)
