Last week i had my hair colored to dark auburn but it didn't color as much as i wanted to (me and my roommate decided to do it ourself). Is it ok if i color my hair again (this time with a lighter shade of auburn or maybe brown)? its been a week since.

If your hair is dark auburn now, a lighter auburn will not change it. Color will not lighten color. The only thing you can do is put the same # shade on it or a darker one. The # will be on the box. If you are trying to get rid of the auburn try a darker color ash. The higher the number on the box the lighter the color, the lower the number the darker. I doubt if you will hurt your hair too much but like the other girl said you need to condition the heck out of it after-wards. Whatever you do DO NOT put blonde or bleach on it you will have pink or violet hair. Not good.

Hell, I did it again in the same night. Just make sure you get some Aussie 3 minute miracle and put a lot in your hair after wards and leave it in for 30 mins. or more before rinsing it out.
It will damage your hair, but heck, you already did that the first go around. It may not do what you want exactly, but it's not going to fall out or anything.

Not a good idea, however you can get away with it. The end result may not be what you are looking for. Best to consult a professional.

Dye chemicals may damage your hair and it is very difficult to regain. Let it be the natural way, it looks good for you.

first of all, i need to be conscious of in case you lightened it or darkened it? And in case you lightened it did you employ a bleach or in hassle-free terms a field from the shop? And what coloration do you opt to alter it to?
