I remembered that when my understanding didn't match up with what I was reading that the lack was in myself and not the Scriptures.

Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10 "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, 11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

Yes. I gave up the faith because I read and studied the origin of bibles. I learned the truth that bibles are fiction.

If you read the bible and find something that challenged your faith then you either do not understand what you have read, or find another thing to believe in!

If you think you may not understand, then seek understanding, in ernest it will come.

Or you could be a Liberal (being the smartest one of the bunch) and say this is bunk and find something else!

why remain faithful?

is faith more important than the truth?

When I find something that I see is difficult I go over it again, check some additional sources, see if others have had the same difficulty as myself and find out what they have written, and if all else fails ask someone who I look up to and is more knowledgeable then myself.

First and foremost the bible is the ultimate and final authority of our life. Whatever the bible says, that settles it. If there are things i cannot understand, i ask people about it.
