Well, bible was written by 66 people or more, I don't know. But it surely has contradictions. Once I looked up in a site, and tried myself to find whether they are true, I found Bible has some severe discrepencies. It proves, unlike Qur'an, Bible has been distorted.

Some Europian bible experts tried to find which verses are exactly said by Jesus. They took a long time to find about it, eventually they concluded that only 18% of what Jesus said is purely what he actually said. Rest 82% are either mixed with the translators own feelings, desires & beliefs or they simply have been made up. So, unlike Qur'an, Bible has been changed over time and it is not pure word of God anymore.

The koran was only revealed by god to muhammad.. Muslims only believe one book per prophet.. Torah was only revealed to Moses. Not even Aaron recieved the Torah. Injeel ('Bible') to Jesus Psalms was given to David.

Now the thing that really perplexes me is christians believe the bible to be written by 40-66 authors.. but no one knows who they were. They were never scrutinized by anyone whereas every prophet was scrutinized.

For your own good i wouldn't brag about that if i were you. coz muslims believe that the bible was corrupted.. Gee i wonder who could have been the one to do that

Furthermore, there were times where the bible was 'edited' and certain ideologies were deemed apocrypha..which would further streamline the different writings

The Muslims Claim it to be the word of God revealed to Mohammed through the Angel Gabriel.

Now onto my personell opinion. I am an Agnostic student of Christianity and Islam and I have extensively studied Arabic for five years in the middle east to learn more abou the Islamic religion. To learn about Islam you must study the Quran and the hadith of their prophet.

I do see the Quran as a more viable text then the holy Bible because of the consistency that it contains in its style of writing and time of compilation. Anywhere you go and purchase an Arabic Quran you will find it to be exactly Identical to any other copy you can find (there exists no variations even between the differing sects of Sunni's and Shiaa's). The language is also to articulate to be that of Mohammed whom the Muslims claim to be an Illiterate man. This would bring me to say it is either divine or has a very talented (in Arabic) author.

Their are some odd prophecies in the Quran that seem to be beyond its time so I am not sure what people have to comment about it. For example the Quran explains the formation of a human in the womb from sperm. It goes on to show of four different phases of fetus development in the mothers womb. It also told the results of a battle between the Romans and Persians before it was to happen in many years (even before there were thoughts of a battle to happen).

I conclude this is a intriguing and eleqountly written book who I would assume only has one Author.

The Koran was written by the prophet Mohammad as a revelation from the angel Gabriel. This is considered a miracle because Mohammad did not know how to read or write at the time.

The Quran is the final revelation from God. The Quran is not a biography of the Prophet (pbuh). In fact the Prophet Moses is mentioned more times than any other prophet in the Quran. It is the words from our Creator emphasizing who God is, the different Prophets stories, and the hereafter. As well as purpose of life and how to live life on earth.

One. Its consistency of style and repeated references to its Spirit being sent to “you” (the “you” unmistakably being the blessed Muhammad, because of all the references to events of his life adressed to him) betray that, and as I show in my article “Qur’an: A Work of Multiple Hands? My Answer” on this site’s “Criticisms on Islam” page, there are really no grounds for considering it a work by multiple authors, despite the attempts of some skeptics to do so. So if only one person wrote the Koran, and it was mentioned in the same verses with the Psalms which C.R.O.W. cited only portions of, then there’s no reason to think that the revelation of the Psalms was any different, and that should especially be clear from this verse:

We have revealed to thee as We revealed to Noah, and the Prophets after him, and We revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, Jesus and Job, Jonah and Aaron and Solomon, and We gave to David Psalms.

The sayings of the Muslim Prophet Muhammad were collected by his followers after his death, and were compiled into the Koran.

I read it somewhere, lots of scholars wrote the Koran, the words being dictated by the Great Prohet himself.

As claimed, he was also illeterate and could'nt read or write, maybe thats why its so distorted.
