Alternate heat for muscle spasm and ice for inflammation, then take alleve over the counter, take two to start and then as directed. You will feel better pretty quickly.

I suggest you go to a chiropractor to see what caused the subluxation ("kinked" bones) from there they can give you the proper treatment. Til then, ice your neck, do NOT put heat on it. Heat will cause the pained area to inflame even more. Try doing some slow stretches by lookinup and slowly down and slowly rolling your head in a circle. This will help with the circulation. But please do ice it! You'll be able to move easier in no time! Good luck!

if not that serious apply Diclofenac Gel B.P. and keep the area covered for some time.
